Report: Everton demand £60k-per-week Tottenham man in player-plus-cash deal for 25-year-old

According to David Anderson of the Mirror, Everton would demand Danny Rose in a player-plus-cash deal with Tottenham for Lucas Digne. The 25-year-old has also been linked with a move to Olympique Lyonnais this summer, but Spurs are leading the chance for his signature.

Everton won’t let the left-back leave for cheap, however. The Mirror say Digne’s value has doubled after a successful year at Goodison Park. The French international joined Everton for £18m last summer and went on to make 37 appearances in all competitions, scoring and creating nine goals.

He could be on the move just one year after his move from Barcelona, however, as interest grows this summer. Losing Digne would be a major blow for Marco Silva, but Rose is a decent replacement. The £60k-per-week defender has made 198 appearances for Tottenham and returned to form in 2018/19

Whether Rose is open to joining Everton remains to be seen, as the left-back could sign a new deal at Tottenham. The 28-year-old has been a regular for a top-four club and may not want to drop down the Premier League table. Everton finished four places and 17 points worse off than Spurs in 2018/19.
