Which club did Everton loan Cenk Tosun out to in January?

The Netherlands u21 international rose through the youth ranks to the AZ first-team in 2017 and has gone on to make 110 appearances in all competitions, scoring 26 goals and making 10 assists. This season, Koppmienders has contributed a total of 19 goals in 42 games across the board.

As per WhoScored, the 22-year-old has made 25 Eredivisie appearances, scored 11 goals, made two assists, created 27 chances, completed 82.1% of his 2053 passes, whipped in 44 crosses with 25% accuracy, won 26 aerial duels (48%), had 29 successful dribbles (82.8%), had 35 shots with 51.4% hitting the target, blocked 20 passes/shots, made 53 clearances, won 21 free-kicks, given away 28 fouls and averaged a tackle (52) or interception (24) every 29 minutes.

Carlo Ancelotti isn’t short of options in midfield with Andre Gomes, Jean-Philippe Gbamin, Morgan Schneiderlin, Fabian Delph, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Tom Davies at his disposal, but he may be planning to offload one or two names.

Schneiderlin and Sigurdsson could be on their way out of Everton this summer. The pair are high-earners who have been inconsistent in 2019/20, so they may not be retained for another season if suitors come knocking.

Everton have been linked with Napoli’s Allan, Olympique Marseille’s Morgan Sanson, Napoli’s Fabian Ruiz, Aston Villa’s John McGinn, Inter Milan’s Matias Vecino, Valencia’s Geoffrey Kondogbia, Fenerbahce’s Ozan Tufan, OGC Nice’s Wylan Cyprien, Lazio’s Luis Alberto and Sassuolo’s Davide Frattesi among others, but it remains to be seen which midfielder will be brought in.
