Report: Everton are ‘admirers’ of 22 y/o, club ‘ready to cash in’ and ‘want £20m’

According to 90min, Everton are ‘admirers’ of Dael Fry. Middlesbrough are ‘ready to cash in’ on the 22-year-old and ‘want around £20m’ for his signature.

90min say Everton will have to compete with Southampton, Burnley, Crystal Palace and Newcastle United to bring Fry to Goodison Park, so there’s still competition this summer.

Which club did Everton loan Cenk Tosun out to in January?

Fry has made 95 appearances in all competitions for Boro since rising through the youth ranks to the first-team in 2015, but his future looks away from the Riverside Stadium.

Everton are on the hunt for another centre-back after letting Matthew Pennington join Hull City on loan last summer while releasing Ashley Williams and Phil Jagielka. The Toffees failed to replace the trio, so they’ve made it a priority to bolster their backline in the coming months.

Carlo Ancelotti wants a fourth centre-back to accompany Michael Keane, Yerry Mina and Mason Holgate. Lewis Gibson would be an option to provide cover, but he’s expected to be loaned out next season.

Everton have been linked with Wesley Fofana, Jean-Clair Todibo, Gabriel Magalhaes, Marash Kumbulla, Issa Diop, Tosin Adarabioyo, Kalidou Koulibaly, Morata and Mohammed Salisu, but it remains to be seen who they’ll eventually bring in.
