Report: Another youngster could leave Everton in January

|

According to Sam Carroll of the Liverpool Echo, Korede Adedoyin could be on his way out of Everton in January – following Lewis Gibson, Antony Evans and Morgan Feeney out the exit door. The 19-year-old has yet to make a first-team appearance for the Toffees and isn’t even playing for the reserves this season.

Adedoyin is out of contract in July and looks unlikely to be handed a contract extension, so a loan move or permanent exit may suit all parties.

The winger joined Hamilton Academical on a season-long loan in July 2019, but his stint in Scotland couldn’t have gone worse. Adedoyin made just one appearance for Hamilton’s reserves and never featured for their first-team. He returned to Everton in January 2020.

Despite an impressive record for the u18s, scoring and creating 30 goals in 51 games, Adedoyin has been overlooked by David Unsworth in the u23s. And with Alex Iwobi, Theo Walcott, Richarlison and Bernard ahead of him in the pecking order, there’s little chance he’ll get a call-up to the first-team either.

A new deal isn’t on the horizon, so the Nigerian wide-man may be better off considering his options elsewhere. He could be a free agent n July.
