According to Niccolo Ceccarini of TuttoMercatoWeb, Carlo Ancelotti could ‘convince’ Everton to sign Hirving Lozano at the end of the campaign. The 24-year-old has struggled for form and playing time at Napoli this season and looks ‘likely’ to leave over the summer.

Lozano has made 23 appearances in all competitions for the Serie A giants, scoring and creating five goals. He’s racked up only 721 minutes of playing time in the Italian top-flight, however, and hasn’t started a game since December 2019.

Everton could take advantage to bring the Mexican international to Goodison Park, and Ancelotti links with Napoli may help in their pursuit. Everton aren’t short of centre-forwards, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Richarlison and Moise Kean on the books, but Lozano can also operate out wide and is a player that’s been on their radar for some time.

The Merseysiders have scored 34 goals in 26 Premier League games this season, notching eight in their last three outings, so Lozano would surely thrive with an attacking club. Time will tell if Everton make a move, however.

Where will Everton finish in the Premier League?

1-4

5-7

8-13

14-20
