With the summer transfer rumour mill surrounding Everton gently suggesting recently that Yerry Mina may have already kicked his last football at Goodison Park, the players’ agent came out strongly last week to rubbish the speculation.
With the 24-year-old having a fantastic World Cup, Everton paid Barcelona £27.2million over the summer in what was quite a drawn-out transfer deal, but with injuries hitting him in his first year in the Premier League, he was restricted to only 12 starts and two substitute showings.
That naturally led to speculation at this time of year and Fenerbahce had been loosely linked but with the clarification from his agent, I think it’s safe to guess he will be here next season and hopefully he’ll more hit the ground running and show us the kind of centre-half we were expecting following his performances for Colombia.
These fans certainly think that as they reacted to Jair Mina’s words.
