With Everton starting the 2018/19 Premier League campaign with an unbeaten run as we hit the end of the September international break, there are positives, there are also some negatives and with three draws from our opening four games, manager Marco Silva will be hoping we return to action this weekend against West Ham United on Sunday with victory.

With optimism still largely high on the back of that as fans wait for further improvements and greater pitch time from our late deadline day signings who should provide a boost of their own as they adjust and settle in, our social media team reminded the faithful yesterday that it was three years to the day since Steven Naismith helped himself to a hat-trick against Chelsea.
With Sam Allardyce frustrations behind people now, some took the opportunity to reminisce about the 31-year-old and there is a section who would welcome him back.
I miss Stevie Naismith proper underrated player he was great for us id have him back scored in big games

This man must return to EFC sometime in the future, in some capacity. Blue through and through. He understood the club and fans and emerged himself in helping the community. His enthusiasm would rub off on younger players trying to break into the first team.

Get him back no matter how old he is, I miss this fella more than I miss Cahill

Let Naisy go too early for sure ☹

Always thought that Naismith brought something that others didn't thought that he would have been a decent captain for us also he would argue with anyone and tell it as it was.

Loved that pic of him pointing and laughing at some player… Naisy all over.
He reminds me of Cahill in that he was underrated, and he was a proper terrier.

With over 100 appearances to his name between 2012 and January 2016, he returned 25 goals and as he plys his trade back up in Scotland, it’s clear the folks above, think he could still offer us something.
I’m not sure I’m on board with that and we did reasonably well out of his service and then the fee Norwich paid especially, and even though he’s in fine form this year with seven goals in eight games for Hearts, I don’t think you should look back and we should continue looking to the future.
Nice hat-trick though!
