Some Everton supporters have been discussing whether or not Director of Football Marcel Brands should be considering a move for Paris Saint-Germain prospect Timothy Weah in the summer market.

Weah, the sun of AC Milan, AS Monaco and PSG icon George Weah, joined Celtic on loan for the second half of the season, where he has featured in eleven Premiership games, two Scottish Premiership Meisterrunde ties and made three substitute appearances in the SFA Cup.

The £4.5million-rated forward has struggled to cement a regular spot in the side under Neil Lennon, or Brendan Rodgers before he left for Leicester City, though, with the 19-year-old only starting two of his last eleven outings in all competitions.

His first of the starts in that run – away to St Mirren at the beginning of April – did return his third Premiership goal for the Hoops, however. He will also be unavailable for the end of the season due to his commitments with the USMNT Under 20 side as they prepare for the FIFA U20 World Cup.

Weah’s limited game time north of the border has not put all of Everton’s supporters off Brands making a move – either permanent or loan – though, as some still see the potential the teenager has…
