Most Everton fans would not have been able to predict the slump their club would endure at the start of the season, but some people account seemingly predicted it.
Got a lot of hate for this a while back. “Worst tier list ever” but I must say that this has aged beautifully, like a fine wine. Almost everything is blob on.#EFC https://t.co/HQKVtGn7ym

Popular Everton Twitter account The Gwladys Street created a tier-list for Toffee players ranking the squad from ‘Crucial’ to ‘Players who aren’t good enough’ in June of this year, and whilst the post at the time caused some controversy, fans now are beginning to realise that the names featured lower down in the rankings have indeed been some of the club’s worst performers.
The likes of Morgan Schneiderlin, Yerry Mina and Theo Walcott were all ranked near the bottom of the list, and these three players have just been a handful of Everton names who have disappointed massively this season following a torrid start to life in the Premier League.
Fans on social media were quick to point out how correct the tier-list would be four months down the line, and here is what some Everton fans had to say about the player tier-list eight games into the season…
Pretty spot on although id argue DCL for the useful but can be improved upon section imo

I’d say Kenny is probably going to be here in the future, but pretty damn spot on with the rest.

Apart from Jags and maybe Jimmy Mac I’d say bang on

couldn’t have nailed it any more

Some fans, though, weren’t too convinced with some of the players placing in the list…
DCL is our top scorer and the only player to score for us since September 1st like

Some are too high up in it if anything

DCL is still promising. It’s not like he gets great service.
