Premier League rivals plot surprise swoop for £55k-a-week Everton misfit

|

Everton invested heavily in their squad during the summer following Marco Silva’s arrival on Merseyside but a recent decline in form suggests further business is required in January to help the Toffees achieve their objectives.

After splashing out prior to the season, Everton may require some outgoing deals to help balance the books and the perfect opportunity to slash the wage bill seems to have been handed to Silva on a plate.

The Evening Standard state Crystal Palace are eyeing a loan move for Oumar Niasse, who earns £55k-a-week at Everton according to Spotracas they seek to bolster their attacking options for the second half of the season.

Roy Hodgson’s side have struggled in front of goal this season and a move for Niasse, who is on the fringes at Goodison Park and has made just one appearance since the September – while all of his five opportunities this term have come off the bench.

Everton would, therefore, likely welcome a move for Niasse and the funds they would save could be used to provide a fresh injection of talent into the first-team squad.
