Premier League leaders, Arsenal are keen on Everton winger, Anthony Gordon, according to transfer specialist and journalist, Ekrem Konur.

Gordon is currently the toffee’s top scorer in all competitions this season, but Arsenal are reportedly keen on the Englishman, with fees of around £50 million being touted.

The 21-year-old made a name for himself last season, scoring 4 goals and providing 2 assists in 35 games, becoming one of the main catalysts in his side’s escape from relegation.

He has since become a favourite of manager, Frank Lampard and has started all but 3 games in the Premier League so far this season, scoring 3 goals.

However, recently the toffees have been criticised for their lack of creativity in attack, with most of the blame being put on the club’s lack of investment into wingers in the summer, with only Dwight McNeil coming in as a winger to replace Richarlison.

The England U21 international was strongly linked with a move to Chelsea in the summer, with new owner Todd Boehly reportedly very keen on the Englishman. However, they were unable to reach Everton’s valuation for the winger.

Recent reports are suggesting that the latest club to hold an interest in Gordon is Premier League toppers, Arsenal.

Managed by former Everton midfielder, Mikel Arteta, the Gunners are currently having their best start to a Premier League season in years, amassing 34 points after 13 games.

The club have invested heavily in recent years in young talent such as Martin Odegaard and Gabriel Martinelli. The Everton youngster could be the next on their list.

Any potential suitors for Gordon were priced out of a move in the summer, but with EFC’s current attacking crisis, a deal could be on the cards seeing the academy graduate move away from the club in the summer.
