Everton have impressed under the guidance of Marco Silva this season and are looking for a response after a heartbreaking defeat to Liverpool in Sunday’s Merseyside derby.
Despite the defeat, there were plenty of positives to take from the performance and one of those was another fine display from Andre Gomes – a player who has quickly become an important figure for the Toffees this season.
The Barcelona loanee has established himself as a crucial asset in Silva’s side and has earned plenty of plaudits from the supporters, who rank the 25-year-old as a fan favourite after his eye-catching displays in the heart of midfield.
Many are desperate for the Portugal international to be drafted in on a permanent basis and a positive update was shared this week, suggesting that the club believe bringing Gomes to the club for a longer stint is a possibility.
