Lyon owner Jean-Michel Aulas has suggested that his side remain in the race for Yerry Mina and that he is not close to joining us or Manchester United.
The defender is surely going to move somewhere before the deadline but it looks as though it is anyone’s guess as to where he actually heads.
Many have suggested that we’ve agreed a deal but Aulas reckons that that is wide of the mark.
He said in relation to the idea that he could be on the way to us or United – via teamtalk:
“I do not think (this) information is accurate.
Yeri is still very interested in OL. We all wish it to be Lyonnais also to play the champion League at the GS.”
The French side could offer him Champions League football, of course, but in the French league there’s surely only so much you can do before you move on.
If he came to the Premier League he’d further his career and with the way we’re heading Champions League football wouldn’t be out of the question in the coming seasons.
