Everton have had plenty to keep an eye on during the international break as a number of their players have been active for their respective nations.
Jordan Pickford has retained his spot as England’s first-choice goalkeeper following his World Cup exploits and played the first half of last week’s victory over the United States, before completing 90 minutes against Croatia on Sunday.
The Three Lions rallied from behind in the second half to seal a 2-1 victory over the defeated World Cup finalists, condemning Croatia to relegation to League B and securing England’s passage to the UEFA Nations League finals next summer.
While the result was positive in the end, the performance had many areas where England need to improve and Pickford will feel he can do better after a shaky performance where he attracted plenty of criticism for his first-half display in particular.
