Everton secured an impressive result against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, holding Maurizio Sarri’s side to a goalless draw.
The hosts have maintained an unbeaten start to their Premier League campaign this season and Everton have historically struggled in their trips to West London, which is why the result surprised many fans across the country.
Assessing the performance of their side, many fans on social media praised another impressive display from summer signing Lucas Digne and heaped plenty of praise upon the former Barcelona full-back – heralding him as their most influential player this season.
The 25-year-old France international has missed just two of Everton’s 12 Premier League games so far this season and is showing himself to be a solid successor to Leighton Baines down the left side of the defence.
