Theo Walcott hasn’t been at his best for Everton this season. He’s made just two assists in 18 appearances and has been short of playing time in recent weeks too. The 30-year-old has racked up just 188 minutes of Premier League football since November 23 and could have an uncertain future as a result.

With Richarlison, Bernard and Alex Iwobi to choose from, Walcott’s place in the squad isn’t guaranteed. And not only do Everton have stiff competition on the wing, they’re also considering a potential replacement for the England international.

According to Dean Smith of Bleacher Report, Everton have asked AS Roma about Cengiz Under’s availability. The 22-year-old reportedly has a £34m valuation and is available for sale after an underwhelming season – 11 appearances, one goal.

Under joined Roma from Basaksehir in 2017 and has gone on to make 76 appearances in all competitions, scoring and creating 26 goals. It remains to be seen whether he’s open to joining Everton in January, but Roma are open to selling their wide-man for the right price.

The Turkish international won’t come cheap, but Everton are desperate to inject goals into the side as they’ve scored only 24 times in 21 league games. Time will tell if they land his signature.
