Opinion: Marcel Brands should send Everton youngster out on loan

|

Korede Adedoyin recently signed a professional contract at Everton, but he already finds himself as the subject of interest from seven clubs. According to All Nigeria Soccer, Heart of Midlothian, Dundee United, ADO Den Haag, Cercle Brugge, Lommel SK, OH Leuven and Apollon Limassol want to sign the Blues’ young striker on a season-long loan.

Adedoyin has scored (24) and created (4) 28 goals in 47 u18 Premier League games and two in four FA Youth Cup outings. He’s been outstanding at youth level for Everton and could shine on loan at another club. The 18-year-old finds himself behind Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Richarlison and Cenk Tosun in the pecking order, so it would be a wise idea by Marcel Brands to let him leave temporarily in 2019/20.

It’s unknown which club Adedoyin will join this summer, but Everton should make sure that he’ll be a regular next season. It’s imperative for his development that he doesn’t spend the next 12 months sitting on the bench, but he also need to play at a level that challenges him.

Everton are expected to sign a striker for the first-team in the coming weeks due to a lack of depth, but Adedoyin could be one for the future.
