Opinion: Everton may have to pay £13m and £1m wages to sign left-winger

|

According to Bild (h/t The Sun), Everton are interested in Benito Raman and are considering a move for the Fortuna Dusseldorf wide-man over the summer. Raman has impressed for the Bundesliga side this season, scoring and creating 12 goals in 15 league starts, which has led to his value rising by 1300% in under 12 months.

The 24-year-old turned his loan deal permanent at Fortuna Dusseldorf for £1m last summer and is now valued at £13m. Statista say the average salary at the Flingeraner is £0.6m-a-year/£11.5k-per-week while FIFA say Raman earns £989k-a-year/£19k-per-week. A contract worth £1m-a-year might be enough to land Everton his signature.

There is stiff competition for the left-winger, however, with Arsenal being linked, but his future looks away from the MERKUR SPIEL-ARENA as the club are reportedly strapped of cash. Dusseldorf currently sit 10th in the Bundesliga with 37 points from 29 games, coming off the back of two wins from their last three outings.

Raman can operate on either flank and through the middle and has created 17 chances while making 29 successful dribbles (45%). The Belgian u21 international has had a hand in 31 of his sides goals and could be a real addition to the Everton squad.
