Everton tasted defeat at the hands of Manchester United on Sunday, with the Red Devils securing a 2-1 victory at Old Trafford.
Paul Pogba’s penalty and Anthony Martial’s strike were enough to sink the Toffees, who got on the scoresheet through Gylfi Sigurdsson’s spot-kick, and improvements are needed ahead of the coming weeks.
One issue that many picked out from the loss was the performance of Marco Silva’s expensive summer signing Richarlison, who led the line at Old Trafford but struggled to get involved in the game – attracting criticism on social media.
Fans were quick to point out that the Brazilian starlet has been superb when playing on the left side of midfield this season and his performances through the middle have been incomparable, which shows Silva should consider a change.
