Everton have improved significantly under the guidance of Marco Silva this season and their performances have not gone unnoticed.
After a starring display for England at the World Cup in the summer, Jordan Pickford has retained the number one jersey for the Three Lions and is also shining at club level for the Toffees.
The 25-year-old did not immediately settle in at Goodison Park after his arrival from Sunderland last summer but is now established as one of the first names on the teamsheet for club and country.
As such, there are suggestions that rival clubs are keeping tabs on the goalkeeper and Manchester United are stated to be one of those eyeing a move amidst uncertainty over David De Gea’s long-term future at Old Trafford.
Pickford would certainly be an expensive addition as Everton will be desperate not to sell and it is fair to say the vast majority of Manchester United fans are not happy with this rumour, as shown by the comments we have collected below.

If David de Gea refuses to commit to a contract extension, can we like I don't know sign Jan Oblak instead of Jordan Pickford

People gassing Pickford to be De Gea’s replacement if you think Pickford is United quality go support City.

Would be utterly raging with this tbh! Don’t rate him at all.

Pickford so overrated

De Gea may not sign a new contract but I very much doubt Pickford would replace him. More likely that Romero would pick up the gloves until a long term replacement is secured.
