Under 23 striker Shayne Lavery has become the latest Everton youngster to be rewarded with a new deal following his progress in 2017/18.
The 19-year-old Northern Ireland international is yet to make his senior bow for Everton following his arrival from Irish Premiership side Glenavon back in the summer of 2015, but he did take in two games as a substitute for the club in last season’s EFL Trophy competition as our youngsters faced off against League One and Two competition in the revised format.
✍️ | “It’s just a great Club to be at,” said Shayne Lavery as he signed a new one-year contract at Finch Farm.
Congratulations, Shayne!

Back in May he also made his full senior debut for his country, coming on as a late substitute in their game against Panama.
The striker has signed a new one year deal at the club stating that Everton is the perfect place for him ‘to keep improving his all-round game’ and clearly his head is firmly attached as he admitted himself in his interview with the Official Site that there were certainly plenty of parts to his game that he needs to improve upon if he wants to get through to our first team, so he’s at least saying all the right things, which is always good in a youngster.
Sadly it seems some are so preoccupied with transfer nonsense that they couldn’t greet this news with the respect it deserved with demands to ‘sign someone’ appearing to be the go-to comment.
Well done Shane…. a full international at 18 … keep the head down and break into the first team .
