Everton’s 2-2 draw with Watford on Monday evening may mean they have suffered defeat in just two of their last 10 Premier League matches but it extends a recent blip for Marco Silva’s side.
Since suffering a last-gasp defeat to Liverpool in the Merseyside derby, the Toffees have dropped points against Newcastle United and Watford at Goodison Park – which may come back to haunt Everton later in the season.
Richarlison gave the hosts the lead but to quickfire goals after the break, coming courtesy of Seamus Coleman’s own-goal and Abdolaye Doucoure’s effort, saw the Hornets take the lead – which they held until the dying moments when Lucas Digne dramatically equalised.
Now three games without a win, and losing pace in the battle for a top-six finish, Everton fans had plenty to say on social media and summer signing Bernard was singled out for criticism after failing to shine in the defensive aspects of his play.
We have gathered some of the comments from supporters below.

Why doesn't Bernard, who can't do much on a defensive corner stay on the half way line for the counter?

Poor all-around from Everton. Bernard should have told Digne it was his ball & Coleman’s been left with 2 men at the back post.

#Efc terrible performance all round playing Bernard against the physical teams of this league does not work some of the senior players were absolutely woeful Mina was the best player on the pitch at least he kept pushing people forward we need to spend more money on a top forward

The right side is looking a problem for us. Coleman/Walcott out of form and don't link well. Gylfi either looks class, or is a passenger, same goes with Bernard today. Overall we didn't work hard enough off the ball #efc

Bullied and kicked all over park tonight, we never came out 2nd half. Needed that 2nd goal in the 1st half. Bernard started well then fell away same as Walcott, Gueye passing poor, Gomes wasn't at his best, Richarlison booted everywhere but Lucas Digne pure fucking class.#EFC
