Everton have improved valiantly under the guidance of Marco Silva this season and plenty of plaudits have been issued to his wealth of summer signings.

The likes of Yerry Mina, Lucas Digne, Richarlison and Andre Gomes have quickly made a solid impression at Goodison Park, establishing themselves as key players in the eyes of the supporters in the stands.

However, there is still work to be done if Everton are to genuinely compete for a top-six position in the Premier League this season and the general consensus is that improvements are needed in the final third.

Everton have failed to replace Romelu Lukaku since his move to Manchester United in 2017 and an intriguing question was raised by one supporter, who asked whether Arsenal’s Danny Welbeck should be considered.
