A few Everton fans have been reacting on social media after the club shared a post from Tom Davies, as the midfielder reflected on Saturday’s win over Chelsea.
Davies had taken to his personal Instagram account to tease Dominic Calvert-Lewin after the match, with an adapted photo of the forward celebrating scoring his first of the day to double our lead over Frank Lampard’s Stamford Bridge natives.
Calvert-Lewin had run off toward the stands kissing the club’s badge after scoring his sixth goal of the season in all competitions, and would later be celebrating again when he notched his first Premier League brace for the Blues.
Davies was watching the action from the bench at the time, as interim manager Duncan Ferguson opted to turn elsewhere for his central midfield options, having seen former boss Marco Silva favour the England U21 international in the starting line-up of his last seven top-flight games in charge.
Calvert-Lewin’s celebration presented Davies with a chance to tease his former Young Lions teammate, though, as the midfielder has taken a photo of the striker celebrating his first goal and placed his face over that of Calvert-Lewin’s.
Davies shared the post through his Instagram feed with the caption: “Haters will say it’s Photoshopped”.

Fella needs to spend more time on the training pitch and less time on his photoshop!
