International football seems to bring the best out of some players, and Cenk Tosun is surely one of these names.

The Turkish international has largely been a forgotten man for Everton this season, with numbers from Transfermarkt showing that the former Besiktas striker has played just over an hour of first-team football and is yet to score a goal for Everton this campaign, yet the story could not be more different on the national stage.

Tosun scored Turkey’s winner against Albania in their EURO 2020 qualifier in the 90th minute, bringing his tally to five goals in qualifying as numbers from BBC Sport show, and Everton supporters on social media expressed their eagerness in wanting to see the 28-year-old attacker in the Toffees first-team for this weekend’s clash against West Ham.
