Moise Kean felt ‘very bad’ about his move to Everton

|

Moise Kean’s brother has been speaking and has not held back with his anger towards former Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri who sold Kean to Everton in 2019, claiming:

‘What a delight to see him score a brace at Lazio under the eyes of Sarri, who did not want him. Kean felt very bad about being sold to Everton.’ – DailyMail

When Kean signed in the summer of 2019 a lot of excitement surrounded the Italian striker with many believing we had signed a future star. Things did not go how either he or us Evertonians could imagine, poor attitude had him dropped from the squad as the Blues travelled to Southampton with manager Marco Silva saying after the game ‘a decision, just decision‘. It was later announced he had broken the club’s rules.

Marco Silva was sacked during that season and Duncan Ferguson was put in temporary charge he also questioned the youngster’s attitude and that was evident in the draw at Old Trafford when he subbed off Moise Kean, 18 minutes after he came on the pitch as a late sub.

Young and naive, more poor decisions from Kean ensued as when lockdown was introduced in March 2020, Everton were left infuriated after it emerged he had hosted a party. That was the final straw for Everton as he was loaned out to PSG where he went on to score 17 goals.

His last outing for Everton came in the Carabao Cup last season away at Huddersfield Town, he had a goal wrongly ruled offside and was later shown a straight red. A few days later, a two-year loan back to Juventus with an obligation to re-sign the striker for £28M followed.

After a few difficult years, Kean has begun to get his career back on track at a place he calls home. He has scored five goals in 18 appearances this season, having only managed six in 42 last season.

With our current striker situation this season and last season, it makes you wonder if Kean had a proper run in the team, would he live up to expectations?

No doubt he has talent as he has shown that this season at Juventus and his loan spell at PSG. Poor attitude had not helped the youngster but let’s not forget, he is only 22. When he joined Everton he was a kid, in a different country with no family with money and guidance.

Do you believe Moise Kean got a fair chance at Goodison Park?

Did Moise Kean get a proper chance?

Yes

No

I don’t really believe in bad players or managers, just players and managers at the wrong time. Like Marco Silva and I guess time will tell in the coming years if Kean was one that got away.
