Well known Evertonian and former Professional Boxer Tony Bellew took to social media on Friday evening to react to Everton’s victory over Burnley.

Welcoming Sean Dyche’s side to Goodison Park for our penultimate Premier League fixture of the 2018/19 campaign, unfortunately a European adventure is now beyond us with the gap to Wolverhampton Wanderers, but goals from Richarlison (deflected effort) and Seamus Coleman kept the dream alive for a period and we are now simply looking to end the campaign strongly so we take better momentum into year two under manager Marco Silva.

Taking the Instagram post game, Bellow clearly had more than one reason to be happy with the night’s entertainment.

With England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford coming in for some vociferous criticism this year, it’s good to see him picking up yet another clean sheet for the sixth game in succession as he puts those moments behind him and continues to seek further improvement in his own game.
