Everton manager Marco Silva will be hoping that reports suggesting midfielder Idrissa Gueye has picked up an injury whilst on international duty are wide of the mark as he continues to prepare for this weekend’s Premier League clash against Crystal Palace.
We welcome Roy Hodgson’s side to Goodison Park on Sunday for the late kickoff but it has been suggested that the 29-year-old has picked up an unstated injury whilst representing his country, Senegal, in their victory over Sudan this October international break.

I’m not seeing any further details as I type, as all the reports so far seem to lean on the above Tweet but he apparently left the field early in their Africa Cup of Nations qualifier with an ankle issue.
Hopefully, it will only be a slight knock for him as he would definitely be a loss for us and as long as it’s nothing more serious, there should be enough time for him to rest up and remain in the gaffer’s thoughts but obviously he’ll be closely looked at and assessed when he returns to the club.
