Loads of Everton supporters have been reacting on social media to a report by the Liverpool Echo discussing whom Director of Football Marcel Brands could sign this summer.

Brands and manager Marco Silva are expected to be busy in the transfer market overhauling the Portuguese’s first-team, and have already made gains by acquiring the now-former Huddersfield Town goalkeeper Jonas Lossl, who will move to Merseyside on July 1 once his Terriers contract expires.

Potentially following the 30-year-old to Goodison Park this summer may be FC Barcelona’s Andre Gomes, who Silva has not been afraid of stating his desires of retaining after a year on loan from the Catalan colossus.

Paris Saint-Germain’s Thomas Meunier is another player who could bound for Merseyside this summer, with reports in France often linking the Toffees with the Belgian right-back as he enters the final year of his contract at Les Parc des Princes.

Ajax winger David Neres has also been linked with a move to Goodison over the recent months, but any deal for the Brazilian would pip Everton against some of Europe’s big hitters.

That may not be the case with another name on the Liverpool Echo’s rundown in Chelsea’s Danny Drinkwater, who’s time at Stamford Bridge is likely over after playing just once under Maurizio Sarri – coming in last August’s Community Shield.

And finally, the Echo note AFC Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson as a potential signing this summer, with the club expected to be in the market for an experienced Premier League striker should Cenk Tosun move on.

During the recently concluded Premier League campaign, Wilson struck the back of the net 14 times and was credited with nine assists in all competitions, while scoring a solitary goal in the EFL Cup.

When this five-man shortlist of players Brands has been tipped to sign was later shared on the R/Everton Reddit page, here’s how these Blues supporters reacted…
