Everton have improved significantly under the guidance of Marco Silva but there are still some issues within the team to resolve.
The signings Silva made during the summer, including the likes of Yerry Mina, Andre Gomes, Lucas Digne and Richarlison, have settled in extremely well – showing the transition that Everton’s squad is undergoing.
A wealth of departures also took place in the summer and there are still some players in the club who could be moved on in January – one of which is winger Yannick Bolasie, who has struggled to make an impact at Goodison Park.
Currently on loan at Aston Villa in the Championship, Bolasie has made just 29 Premier League appearances during the past two seasons and has contributed just two goals – a tally he has already equalled in his loan.
Bolasie recently spoke about his injury woes last season and it led to many responses from Everton fans. We have gathered some of the best reactions below.
This makes Allardyce’s decision to loan Lookman out even more baffling.

He was never that good anyway, another ridiculous Walsh/Koeman signing, the injuries were final nail in the coffin for him.

He’s feeling more confident now because he’s playing the last 10 minutes of games against tired third rate full backs and rinsing them. Put him on from the start and reality will strike even against fresh third rate full backs.

I thought that the time. It seemed like that he played 2 games for the U-23s and then Hippo Head started him. He was set up to fail and lost confidence as a result. Shows the madness of loaning out Lookman & marginalising Vlašić

There’s only one person to blame if he came back early and that’s himself. He’s the one that knows where his body is at in terms of fitness and recovery and if it was ready for the rigours of premier league football…

My biggest issue with Bolasie, instead of just controlling the ball will the basic skill he tried a trick before it even reached him. Lost the ball so many times! It was astounding this has never been corrected by managers. Seems a great guy, couldn’t stand him in the team!
