Everton have a new kid on the block after Kyle John put pen-to-paper on a new contract that keeps the 18-year-old with the Toffees until at least 2021, and he has now taken to Twitter to share his thoughts.
John has been at the club since he was just six-years-old and described the new deal as a “dream come true”.
It’s a dream come true for me to sign my first professional contract with the club that I’ve been at since I was 6 years old, I want to thank the coaches and staff who have helped over the past 12 years and also to my family who helped me achieve it @Everton pic.twitter.com/6eg75hAQp0

The teenager was offered his first professional deal with the Goodison Park outfit following a terrific season in the youth ranks, despite only breaking into the U23 set-up this term.
John has not made many appearances in David Unsworth’s squad, either, but when he debuted for the side in November, the youth coach had nothing but praise for the defender.
“Kyle did great for Paul Tait in the Under 18s at the start of the season, and John Ebbrell, Franny [Jeffers] and I have watched him, and we thought he had the ability and physicality to step up,” the Liverpool Echo quoted Unsworth as saying.
“He started training with us a couple of months ago and he’s cemented that right-back place. He looks a real class act. He is a great boy and if he continues to progress as he has done since he’s been with us, he’s got a very bright future.”
When he has played, Unsworth and Tait have not been afraid to see how well John fairs in other positions, as well, with the regular right-back also filling in at right-midfield on occasion.
A move up to the full senior squad under Marco Silva is likely still to be a while off yet, but a load of Blues supporters were quick to share their joy when John’s post circulated on social media …
