Everton’s three-game winning streak was brought to a close by Manchester United on Sunday, as Jose Mourinho’s side achieved a 2-1 victory at Old Trafford.

Paul Pogba opened the scoring with a first-half penalty before Anthony Martial doubled United’s advantage after the break, with Gylfi Sigurdsson netting a consolation goal from the penalty spot during the second half.

The performance of Martial proved to be a deciding factor in the result, with the France forward winning the penalty for the Red Devils and scoring a well-taken goal, and it appeared that the 22-year-old had the better of Seamus Coleman throughout the game.

Coleman struggled to cope with the threat posed by Martial and was offered little protection by Theo Walcott, playing ahead of him, which left Everton extremely exposed down the right side – and fans on social media did not have much sympathy for the Toffees full-back.

Many took to social media to vent their frustrations and we have gathered some of the best reactions below.
