With Everton bringing the curtain down on our pre-season trip to Switzerland with a 1-0 victory over As Monaco on Friday, the players continue their buildup and preparations for the coming 2019/20 Premier League campaign back at Finch Farm, but a quick team bonding video released by the club has struck the right note with fans.

Having played out a scoreless draw with FC Sion prior to the Monaco friendly where Seamus Coleman’s solitary goal lifted spirits further with a win, after the Sion test manager Marco Silva gave the players an afternoon off and they went whitewater rafting.

It appears the players certainly had fun as they let the proverbial hair down and fans who took the time to comment on the video on Saturday were pleased to see that sensible steps were being taken on the trip to further foster team spirit and a togetherness within the group, as that should only bode well for the year ahead as Silva looks for additional improvements on last season.

Some naturally, of course, questioned the colour of the lifejackets.
