Youngster Ademola Lookman was pleased with how his first year at Everton went following his arrival from Charlton Athletic last January.

The 19 year old came in for a reported £10million fee in mid January and made three starting appearances with a further five showings from the bench, bagging his first Premier League goal on his Everton debut in the four nil victory over Manchester City.

Speaking to evertonfc.com Lookman continued to show his ambition by talking about the improvements he wanted to make to his game so he got more game time in the future.

‘It`s been great but I can do more, I can do better. There are things that I can still improve on, which I`m focusing on. It was an incredible feeling to score against Manchester City. I can`t really describe it. I need to kick on from that now and move forward. It`s good to have moments like that, but I want to have 100 more moments like that in my career. That`s what I`m trying to do. It`s a whole different city but I think I`m adapting well. I enjoy playing every single day.’

With Lookman now out on international duty for the England Under 20s, he has started two of the three matches for them out in South Korea and he went on to reveal that manager Ronald Koeman had had some words of wisdom for him before he left Everton to join up with the group at the World Cup tournament.

‘The manager told me that I should go into every game like I would at Everton, to keep focused and keep working hard, and the results will come. I want to kick on next season and hopefully establish myself in the first team. I`m looking forward to pre-season training. You have to set goals for yourself and be confident in your ability, and I am confident in my ability. We`ll see next season, we`ll see the results.’
