The countdown is still ongoing as we wait for our first summer addition. In the meantime, it appears that we’ll see a few players departing Goodison Park. One such player is Nikola Vlasic.
According to the Daily Mail, Newcastle have approached us over the possibility of signing the 20-year-old on loan.
Despite attaining 19 first-team appearances in all competitions for us last season, the Croatian forward was mostly side-lined under Allardyce’s leadership, and a season of regular first-team opportunities could prove to be the most appropriate step for his career.
There’s no doubting that Vlasic is a talented player, and a loan move could help to familiarise himself with the physical nature of English football. He’s a player who is endowed with great potential, and he’s even attained experience on the international stage, having won two caps for Croatia.
Here’s how Everton supporters rate Vlasic!
Can see Marco Silva getting the best out of Nikola Vlasic next season, wouldn’t be surprised if he’s a starter early in the season 🇭🇷 #EFC

Will Nikola Vlašić get a second run in the team #EFC is he ready yet or would he be better served going on loan. Like the guy a lot but never really understood the transfer. #COYB

Niasse was good, Vlasic & Besic had intent at least.
Hell of a lot needs doing to the squad though (even with World Cup players back)#efc— Joe Scott (@litanyoftittery) July 18, 2018

Strikers – Tosun, DCL
Wingers – Walcott, Lookman, Malcom, Vlasic
AMs – Sigurdsson, Dowell
That's a new look for Everton under Silva, and much faster than last season. #EFC— Royal Blue Mersey (@RBMersey) July 18, 2018
Even with the frustrations of no new signings yet, looking forward to seeing Holgate/Davies/Lookman and Vlasic getting more game time next season #EFC #Youngsters

Verdict:
As previously mentioned, Vlasic is an exciting prospect who has the ability to become a very important player. A loan move would be of incontestable significance as he looks to refine his skills and augment his abilities.
