Jordan Pickford has been a divisive figure in the Goodison ranks this term, thanks to a few mishaps here and there, but the £50million-rated goalkeeper has been earning the praises of a lot of Blues supporters on Twitter for reaching a Premier League milestone.

The 25-year-old’s start in our 2-0 win at home to Chelsea last month was, in fact, his 100th appearance in the Premier League, having represented Sunderland in the top-flight 31 times before switching the North East for Merseyside in 2017.

Pickford has gone on to make a further 73 outings in the premier English tier since joining us from the Black Cats, but only received his commemorative award on the back of keeping Manchester United at bay in our 4-0 win last weekend.

Altogether, 26 of the England number one’s 104 Premier League games have seen a clean sheet, 12 of which have come this season – only Alisson Becker, Ederson and Kepa Arrizabalaga have kept more this term.

With four games left of the season, Pickford has also kept out 14 fewer goals this year than during his maiden Toffees campaign, which is also six fewer than during his final year at the Stadium of Light.
