Loan watch: Goalkeeper impresses in Saturday’s 1-1 draw, made six saves over the 90 minutes

Jonas Lossl impressed for Huddersfield Town in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Derby County, making a number of saves to keep the Terries in the match at the iPro Stadium. The 31-year-old saw three goals go past him in Town’s defeat to Cardiff City (February 12) but managed to help his side earn a point days later.

Lossl was motionless as Tom Lawrence fired an effort from distance into the top corner, but he parried a Wayne Rooney free-kick & held a follow-up header, saved a fierce low effort from Graeme Shinnie and produced a point-blank save from a Martyn Waghorn header.

The Danish international was resolute throughout and has enjoyed a good return to The John Smith’s Stadium. He’s made three appearances while on loan from Everton, conceding four goals and keeping one clean sheet. As per WhoScored, Lossl made 53 touches and completed 42.4% of his 33 passes.

He made six saves in total, found a teammate with three of his 22 attempted long balls, made one clearance and drew one foul. Huddersfield’s draw saw them end the weekend 20th in the Championship with 36 points from 33 games.
