Everton saw their winning streak at Goodison Park come to a close on Wednesday evening after being held to a draw by Newcastle United.
The visitors took the lead through Salomon Rondon but Richarlison levelled the scores before the interval, although the Toffees failed to kick on in the second period and we left with the feeling that two points were dropped.
A huge response is now required for the hosting of Marco Silva’s former side Watford on Monday evening, which is the start of three difficult tests in the Premier League as clashes with Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur follow.
Silva gave an honest assessment of the match after the game, where he admitted it was not a good result for the team and that his side did not defend properly to prevent the opening goal – which led to a variety of reactions on social media.
We have gathered some of the comments made by supporters below.
Bern the game tonight, poor crowd reaction after a great derby performance, expected a rousing reception for the players. Fans could of helped us win that tonight, why turn up and not sing and chant??????

We need a centre forward . We don’t have a single decent one.

You have to be a little bit cuter against a team that parks the bus because launching it into box against 6ft 5 lads just doesn’t work.

Least he was honest, hasn’t used the word “phenomenal”

Good assessment of how it went for us. This will be the defensive tactics for opposing teams at Goodison and we just need to find ways of breaking these types of teams down better. We should’ve been up at halftime with the 2 great chances we had. #EFC

Need to work on the final ball and set plays – corners are awful – Watford will present the same type of challenge but with better players – let DCL start with Walcott on the right Richarlison out wide left

Today is Everton in a nutshell, We can never ever kick on and build on a good performance, And unless Gylfi or Richarlison score the net seems to be on a different pitch to rest of the squad, Lukaku still not been replaced, Needs addressing over the next month, Callum Wilson?
