Ronald Koeman – not that he would reveal much else – has confirmed Everton do have an interest in Charlton’s Ademola Lookman.

Questioned about an interest – following rumours of a big money move in January – when he spoke ahead of the meeting with Hull on Friday Koeman was quoted by Sky Sports as saying.

‘Yes. There is interest in the boy.’

He wouldn’t say much more than that but Koeman did say Everton are working on deals for a number of players of interest with some names being linked true other not!

The boss added.

‘It is a busy time because we have a lot of games in a short time and, of course, I’m involved in new players, in making the team stronger. We are working on that. We have certain interest in some players. Some names we are linked with are true, and some names are not true. That is all speculation. Of course we are working. We have certain interest in players but we will keep that to ourselves.’

One other player who has been linked with a move to Goodison Park – that would involve him stepping up a level – recently is Ipswich central defender Adam Webster.

The Mirror claimed a bid of £4m would be made as the 21 year old has impressed in the Championship at Ipswich since he joined them in the summer from League 2 club Portsmouth.

Sunderland have also been credited with an interest.
