Jurgen Klinsmann’s odds of becoming the next Everton manager have taken a dramatic dive.

The Daily Star have quoted that he was as high as 950-1 with the bookies last week, but a quick check of the odds this morning puts him as short as 6-1 with William Hill.

The former Bayern Munich and Germany head coach is currently manager of the United States of America national team.

There doesn’t appear to be anything backing up this link, so it could well just be that people saw his odds tumbling and tried to get in quick when the odds were at a high level.

According to the bookies he’s still well behind the likes of long-term favourite Roberto Martinez, Cardiff boss Malky Mackay, Celtic manager Neil Lennon and Alan Stubbs. Although interesting his odds are shorter than Phil Neville, Vitor Pereira and Gus Poyet who have all been heavily linked over the past week.
