Right now, things are not going swimmingly for Everton on the pitch, but fans were offered a glimpse of the future on Tuesday, and it starts with Tim Cahill.
Club legend Cahill, who is still playing professionally in the Indian Super League, shared a post of his son Cruz training at Finch Farm to his Twitter page, and a lot of supporters hope that it will not be the last time they see him in blue.
The Australian icon was not saying that his son had signed a deal to link up with the Toffees academy, but the midfielder was clearly happy to see his boy train at the club where he scored 68 goals.
TRAINING DAYS CRUZ CAHILL what an experience for my boy to train at @Everton today ???? laying down the foundations early. pic.twitter.com/XOm0Cqoy4E

Cahill captioned his photo with “Training Days Cruz Cahill what an experience for my boy to train at Everton today laying down the foundations early.” So there’s certainly a chance that Cruz will be a Blues star in the future.
Some of those who replied to the post hope that the future starts a lot sooner though, and that Cruz follows in his father’s footsteps to become a first-team player, and maybe even with his dad in the dugout…
Any chance he’ll be ready for Saturday?!!!

We need Cahill the second, and the third.

If he shows half of the desire his father showed then he will be an outstanding player.
