Moise Kean had an uncertain future at Everton following a disappointing debut campaign and multiple counts of indiscipline. The 20-year-old scored just two goals in 33 games last season and found himself dropped and fined for breaching club rules in the past.

Despite his woes in England, however, many clubs in Italy are keen to bring him back. Napoli, Inter Milan, AC Milan and AS Roma have been linked with his signature this summer, but Di Marzio & Sky Sports’ transfer expert Fabrizio Romano says Juventus are the latest to ask about Kean’s availability.

The Old Lady want Kean on loan for the season, but it remains to be seen if we’d accept their proposal as Carlo Ancelotti rates the Italian international highly.

Juventus desperate for a striker

Gonzalo Higuain looks set to leave Juventus for Inter Miami, so Andrea Pirlo will be left with only Cristiano Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala in attack. And with Ronaldo in the eve of his career at the age of 35, the Old Lady may end up needing two strikers.

They’ve been linked with Olivier Giroud and Alvaro Morata among others this summer, but Kean has been on their radar ever since they let him go in 2019. The 20-year-old’s departure from Turin was controversial and it appears Juve want to correct their mistake by bringing him back.

We’re not budging

Despite Kean’s poor form and disciplinary problems, we aren’t going to entertain a departure. The Italian has four years remaining on his deal at Goodison Park and will be given time to prove his worth.

Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin have been the preferred partnership in attack so far, but Ancelotti has publicly stated that he’ll be patient with Kean. We need a player to allow Richarlison and Calvert-Lewin a rest during the campaign, so it wouldn’t be wise to let our only backup striker leave.

Oumar Niasse was finally released at the end of his contract and Cenk Tosun is currently sidelined with a serious knee injury, so we’re lacking depth. Kean leaving would further compound our problems.
