Everton are progressing well under the guidance of Marco Silva and secured another victory this weekend by edging past Cardiff City at Goodison Park.
The Toffees made a number of changes to their squad during the summer, with the signings of Bernard and Richarlison in the final third leading to Yannick Bolasie plummeting down the pecking order on Merseyside.
Bolasie, therefore, moved on loan to join promotion-chasing Aston Villa in the Championship and has become an instant hit at Villa Park, making his latest appearance off the bench in Sunday’s 4-2 victory over arch-rivals Birmingham City.
The 29-year-old has made 11 appearances this season, scoring twice, but has accumulated just 221 minutes of action with all of his opportunities coming off the bench – and many Villa fans believe it is time the DR Congo international earned a start.
