‘It’s embarrassing’ – Many Everton fans on Twitter are calling for surprise manager switch

|

Everton fans have been screaming out on social media demanding David Moyes is appointed as Marco Silva’s successor sooner rather than later.

Silva was appointed as Sam Allardyce’s successor in the summer and become the third full-time Everton boss in under a year following Ronald Koeman’s sacking the previous season.

Ever since Moyes left for Old Trafford, the Goodison Park hot seat has become a revolving door with managers coming and going if they are unable to consistently deliver results or a style of football the board and fans are happy with.

Roberto Martinez delivered both at first, but Everton capitulated under the Spaniard. Koeman’s Southampton’s days suggested he could offer what was needed, but the Dutchman failed horrifically.

Silva was then supposed to bring both those aspects and delight fans after Allardyce’s dreary days, but the Toffees’ season is quickly unraveling under the former Watford boss, and odds are now being slashed that the Portuguese gaffer will be the next manager sacked.

The Sun are reporting that Silva is now the second-favourite to get the chop next, with only Claude Puel’s fate at Leicester City hanging in the balance more.

If the Toffees do bring Silva’s reign of abject misery, at present, it wasn’t all that bad, to a swift end, there’s a lot of Everton fans desperate for Moyes to be their saviour…
