Everton entered the international break on a high after securing a goalless draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, which established a platform to build upon in the build-up to the busy festive season.
Marco Silva’s side host Cardiff City at Goodison Park this week before making the short trip to tackle arch-rivals Liverpool at Anfield, a fixture that presents another stern test for an improving Everton outfit.
Silva’s men will certainly need to be at their best against Jurgen Klopp’s title-chasers but bad news has emerged from the international break, with it being confirmed that Ademola Lookman has returned to the club prematurely.
The club confirmed Lookman sustained a minor injury whilst on duty with England’s U21 side and fans on social media express their dismay at the news, fearing the worst and showing their frustration.
