It’s been a tough few years for Kurt Zouma. From the star of the Chelsea defence to spending months on the shelf, the Frenchman is finally getting back to his best. After a decent loan at Stoke City last season, the Frenchman moved to Goodison Park over the summer, and I’m sure most Blues were delighted.

He’s impressed during his early-season displays under Marco Silva, and he was rewarded for his fine form with a recall to the French national squad. He’s been in and out of their team in recent years, and he was on the standby list over in Russia at the World Cup.

Now, though, he looks delighted to be back amongst the action. He recently posted an image of him in a training session during the international break, and he’s certainly living up to his middle name of happy.

I’m sure I speak for the Goodison Park faithful when I say that we’ll be very happy ourselves if Zouma comes back to Goodison Park unscathed, as the last thing we need is an injury issue given how we’ve started the season.

Hopefully his return to the French squad will push him to improve and stay there over the coming months.
