We needed a win over the weekend, owing to our mixed start to the season, and fortunately, that’s what we got. It wasn’t always pretty, and in the end, we were a bit lucky to bag two goals, but a win is a win, and the three points could be crucial at the end of the season.
We’ve been savouring the win ever since the final whistle was blown, and it’s fair to say that one of our main men has been too. Dominic Calvert-Lewin broke the deadlock for the Blues with a fantastic headed goal, and he’s since been celebrating with a few posts online.
It seems as though not just one post celebrating it was enough, as Calvert-Lewin followed up on a gameday post with another on Monday, with the Englishman clearly savouring his moment in the spotlight.
It hasn’t been an easy season for the Englishman, but he certainly deserves credit for his weekend performance. He led the line well, and he scored the all-important goal – and so he should certainly be in Marco Silva’s thoughts ahead of the weekend.
He can keep posting the photos, and we’re going to keep liking them – because we want more of the same from the forward. If he scores against Man Utd next weekend, we’ll be happy with him posting 20 photos every day in celebration.
