International football has disrupted the domestic calendar once again but Everton fans were in a positive mood this week.
The Toffees entered the two-week hiatus in a strong vein of form, holding Chelsea to a goalless draw at Stamford Bridge last time out, and were keeping tabs of members of their squad in action for their nations.
One of the players who attracted a lot of attention on social media was forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who scored a brace for the England U21’s in their emphatic 5-1 victory over Denmark – extending the Three Lions’ unbeaten streak to 22 matches.
Leicester City’s Demarai Gray opened the scoring before Liverpool’s Dominic Solanke netted a brace, with Calvert-Lewin then getting in on the act – and it was his second that left Everton fans delighted.
The 21-year-old scored from the penalty spot to double his tally in the game and, as such, prevented Solanke the chance of netting a hat-trick. We have gathered some of the best reactions below.

Calvert Lewin not letting solanke get his hattrick is alpha mentality https://t.co/1SPErPAwIw

Dominic Calvert-Lewin could have just played in Solanke for an easy tap-in, which would have given Worse Dominic a hat trick. Good Dominic scored it himself instead.
True blue.

As if Calvert-Lewin didn’t let Solanke have that penalty at 4-1 up so he could get his hattrick 😩😂
