Marco Silva is a man under pressure, so much so that Everton supporters are already crafting elaborate conspiracy theories as to why free agent Jose Mourinho could well be on his way to replacing the Toffees manager.

Sky Sports News report that the former Manchester United manager is keen to return to the Premier League as a manager due to a desire to win trophies, something Everton haven’t managed in nearly a quarter of a century, yet despite the absurdity of the link, some fans of the Merseyside club think there could be a chance the Champions League winning manager will one day take up to the hot seat at Goodison.

Yet not everyone was convinced, and some supporters on social media didn’t believe the theory that Mourinho would take up the Everton job should it one day become available.

Here’s what some Everton fans had to say about the potential links with Jose Mourinho, with the majority of supporters not convinced the former Real Madrid manager will make a move to Goodison Park…

Some Everton fans, though, already had an idea as to where they think Mourinho will be heading too next almost a year after leaving Man Utd…

Mourinho has already enjoyed success this decade in the Premier League with Chelsea and Man Utd.

  • He would destroy us in 3 years. Ditch the young potential players for the more experienced ones with no future sell value. Would put a stop to any academy players path to the first team. Destroy the faith and belief they would have of ever making it to the first team thus blocking future stars from choosing us over the shite and the mancs. Sign players who are past the prime and earn shit loads on deals years beyond there worth. That makes them unsellable. Cripple us financially which would take years to rectify yes he probably would win a trophy wich we crave badly but never turn us into top4 challengers with old skool tactics and philosophies
