Tim Howard made his 414th and final appearances for Everton on final day of the Premier League season.

The United States international kept a clean sheet during his final game for Everton, helping the side to a comfortable 3-0 victory over Norwich City in Everton’s first game since the sacking of Roberto Martinez.

Howard officially leaves England and the Premier League for the United States of America’s Major Soccer League to join Colorado Rapids next week.

The Salt Lake Tribune has listed Howard’s new annual salary at $2.575 million.

Considerably less than Kaka’s $7.167 million at Orlando City, but more than Didier Drogba’s $2.166 million at Montreal Impact.

$2.575 million a year equates to about £34,000-a-week, not bad for a 37-year-old in the twilight years of his career!

The Colorado Rapids new goaltender is in the mix for this summers USA side who are competing in the Copa America.

One would think that perhaps a country the size of America, with a growing national league would have a better option than Howard, but when Aston Villa’s Brad Guzan has been playing that answer is clearly not!

‘The manager [Jurgen Klinsmann] makes the decisions, that’s no different than any other time. So for me, I’m not really that concerned with any decisions that are getting made. I don’t make them, I can’t concern myself with them. he told ESPN.

He continued: ‘I want to be a part of this team between now and certainly the end of [the 2018 World Cup], but that’s going to take many different shapes between now and then. I just keep pushing as hard as I can and do what I can. Jurgen will make those decisions.’
